Guangzhou Airport
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is about 28 kilometers (17.4 miles) from the airport to downtown area of the city. You can take subway, shuttle bus or taxis go to downtown.

Guangzhou Metro
Guangzhou Metro is the sixth busiest metro system in the world. It has eight lines in operation, namely Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line 5, Line 8, Guangfo Line, and Zhujiang New Town APM. Fares are range from RMB2 (a couple of stations) to RMB14 (the longest journeys). A journey shorter than 4 km costs RMB2; RMB1 is charged for every 4 km after 4 km, every 6 km after 12 km, and every 8 km after 24 km.

There are more than 450 bus lines opening in Guangzhou City, 44 of which are running at night usually from 21:00 to the next 06:00. What’s more, 80% of the city-buses are equipped with air-conditioner. The public bus in the city charges RMB1 to RMB2.
There are four bus transportation hubs in the city, including the Railway Station Bus Terminal, Tianpingjia Bus Terminal, Zhongshan Balu (Zhongshan 8 Road) Bus Terminal and the East Railway Station Bus Terminal.
Railway Station Bus Terminal shoulders the bus transfer services between the Railway Station and the downtown area of the city. The transfer bus routes include 52, 180, 201, 210, 211, 228, 234, 254, 257, 269, 269A, 275, 529, 550, 552, 803, 805, 807A, 807, 840, 862B, 862A and Night Buses No.7, 8, 11, 14, 18, 25, 31, 33 and 41.
Tianpingjia Bus Terminal is the only bus transfer center in the northeast of city. The bus routes include 11, 28, 51, 51A, 85, 109, 110, 111, 112, 408, 509, 534, 543, 701, Light 5 and Higher Education Mega Center No.4.

East Railway Station Bus Terminal is a transfer hub for the transportation between the downtown area and the East Railway Station. Guangzhou Taxi
The local taxi charges RMB10 for the first 2.5 kilometers (1.6 miles), and RMB2.6 for succeeding kilometers. You can bargain with the driver if you take a taxi at night. It is very difficult to see an empty taxi in peak hours. In order to find an empty one more easily, you can wait at the special pick-up points for taxis, which are signed and very easy to find.

Beside, Guangzhou is very close to Hong Kong. You can go to Hong Kong by ship. Panyu Lianhuashan Port is 61 sea miles from Hong Kong. It only takes one hour and fifty minutes. It costs RMB185 for VIP class, RM165 for first class, RMB145 for second class.
